House of Prime Rib

House of Prime Rib

I love all kinds of food with a few exceptions - I don’t like sushi (it’s a texture thing - ok??) and organs (tripe, liver, etc,) - I can pretty much hang with anything else. I especially love meat and potatoes - it’s the simple pleasures. One of my favorites is prime rib, but it’s hard to find a place that serves it right. Growing up, the only time I had a chance to get prime rib was at weddings. Yesterday, was Zaki’s (my lil’ brother in-law - remember him from the packing the boxes days??) high school graduation, and to celebrate, the family had dinner at the House of Prime Rib.

I prepped the whole day by not eating that much because I wanted to fill my belly with all the prime rib I could fit into it. OMG. Amazing. The prime rib was exceptional - tender and juicy (even though I got it Medium Well - yes I like my meat cooked ok??), the mashed potatoes and gravy scrumptious, and the creamed spinach yummy. The service was great and they make everything in front of you which is always exciting. If you are ever in San Francisco and want to get your meat & potatoes on, I would definitely hit this place up. I’m hungry just thinking about it….

  1. Great pics! What kind of camera did you use?
How does HoPR compare to regular ribeye steak?

  2. Thanks! They’re both delicious but really different. Prime Rib is prepared differently (I think it may be roasted?) - I’m not sure but it’s like butta!!
