I love keeping up with new technology in part because new gadgets are sleek and smart. My home phone has all but become extinct and I just have a home phone for emergencies (I live in earthquake land).
Though I love new electronics, I have a soft spot for retro design and I miss the look of older gadgets - which is why Ali and I got our very own “Batman” phone for the house rather than something that came with an answering machine and 3 cordless phones.
I just came across this phone online and I need this phone. The irettrophone by Freeland Studios meshes the two concepts of new technology and retro design together. The base of the phone is a single piece of cast resin and you just plug in your iPhone into the base. So cute!

love it. And since I just joined team iPhone I may have to upgrade from the former desk phone situation. Either way, I’m glad someone figured out a way to bring back the simple joy of the full formed phone cradle and wire.
