LATEST PROJECT: Crossed Colours: MISS Fashion Editorial for Hell Yeah Magazine
My sneaker aficionado friends from down under at Sneaker Freaker have some heavy news this month. First off, Issue 20 is hot off the presses and has 7 collectible covers. You can pick up a copy in the Sneaker Freaker Shop or at Barnes & Noble. I can’t wait to get my copy because yours truly is in it – woo hoo!
Next up – and this is REALLY exciting – Sneaker Freaker did the impossible. Drum roll please…… Sneaker Freaker has launched the Sneaker Freaker Museum! The SF Museum is an online database of every sneaker created – 7,000 sneakers and counting! So, next time you see someone rockin’ fly kicks that you need to know about, just hop onto the Sneaker Freaker Museum and learn all about ‘em. Happy hunting!
Girls Got Kicks is a book project put together by Lori Lobenstine, founder of Female Sneaker Fiend, to showcase all the lady sneaker fiends of the world and show the boys that they’re not the only ones who like to keep their kicks fly. She enlisted M.I.S.S.’s very own Amanda Lopez to shoot all the women and their sneaks as the duo travels across the country to different cities. I’m very honored to be included among the women featured in Girls Got Kicks.
In Issue 16 of Sneaker Freaker, Lori and Amanda were interviewed about the project. If you didn’t catch the interview in print, check out the Girls Got Kicks feature now available on SneakerFreaker.com.

I was mentioned in two articles in Sneaker Freaker 16. First, the lovely Sarah Jane Owen interviewed me for her research on an article devoted to the ever-controversial sneaker heels. Next, Sneaker Freaker interviewed Lori Lobenstine and Amanda Lopez on a project they’re working on called Girls Got Kicks. Since I helped bring the two talented ladies together they both kindly shouted me out.

Issue 15 of Sneaker Freaker (the one with the crazy glow in the dark cover!) did a feature on high end sneakers – you know the type, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, etc. Woody & M.A.F.I.A. at Sneaker Freaker asked me to write the article on Chanel as they know that I am a true lover (and soon becoming historian) on the great designer and brand. You can view the full high end feature on Sneaker Freaker but I’m pasting my portions below….Let me know what you think!
Project: Chanel Article for Sneaker Freaker Magazine
Role: Writer
Notes: In Issue 15, Sneaker Freaker did a series of articles covering luxury brands and they asked me to contribute a piece on Chanel. They also featured “M.I.S.S. January 2009″ and the “Chanails” manicure in the series.
