Cool Sneaker Store Display

I’ve always loved the tightly wrapped sneakers on display at sneaker stores everywhere from the Slauson Swap Meet to Flight Club.  One can get a closer look at the shoes without getting them dirty from all the grubby hands that touch them.  I was reading through Fubiz today and I now have a new favorite sneaker store display.

Munich, a sports brand, opened a new store in Valencia, Spain with the help of architectural firm Deardesign. The display is a series of white arches that intersect to create perfect spaces for what looks like floating shoes.  The shoes of course are not floating but placed on discreet shelves.  I love the way this looks! What do you think?

Girls Got Kicks Interviews in Sneaker Freaker

March 25, 2010

Girls Got Kicks

Girls Got Kicks is a book project put together by Lori Lobenstine, founder of Female Sneaker Fiend, to showcase all the lady sneaker fiends of the world and show the boys that they’re not the only ones who like to keep their kicks fly. She enlisted M.I.S.S.’s very own Amanda Lopez to shoot all the women and their sneaks as the duo travels across the country to different cities.  I’m very honored to be included among the women featured in Girls Got Kicks.

In Issue 16 of Sneaker Freaker, Lori and Amanda were interviewed about the project. If you didn’t catch the interview in print, check out the Girls Got Kicks feature now available on SneakerFreaker.com.

Mama in Lady Caprice Magazine

January 14, 2009

French-based magazine, Lady Caprice wrote an article on M.I.S.S ‘s very own Lori Lobenstine , founder of Female Sneaker Fiend . As members of FSF, Lori asked me to submit photos of my collection for the piece. Check out the full story to see the photos – and shouts to other fabulous ladies featured including M.I.S.S. Liz , Pink Eye , Toofly and Mafia .

I quickly ran out of room in the kitchen and could only show 1 shoe of each pair!  This photo was taken late last year and I’ve probably already added another 10 pairs!  Must stop!!
