MAC + Wonder Woman = 70s Glamour

MAC x Wonder Woman

I love Wonder Woman – you know this!  When I was in NY last week for Fashion Week I stopped by the M.A.C. x Wonder Woman pop-up shop obviously. I love seeing the evolution of Wonder Woman, but as a 1970s baby, I relate most to the Wonder Woman brought to life by Lynda Carter.  That’s why I ended up picking up colors that were either: (1) 1970s glamour or (2) true Wonder Woman red. Check out what I copped…

MAC x Wonder Woman

Lipglass in Secret Identity (a very 1970s bronze), Nail Creme in Obey Me (sexy true red), Matte Lipstick in Russian Red (another sexy true red) and Eyeshadow 4 in Valiant.  All of the colors I bought, with the exception of Russian Red, were exclusive to this collection.  Though Russian Red is part of the regular MAC collection, I needed a true red matte lipstick and what’s more appropriate than a Wonder Woman true red lipstick – I’ll tell ya’ – NOTHING!

MAC x Wonder WomanI also LOVE the packaging.  MAC commissioned an artist to create its own version of Wonder Woman for this collection.  All of the boxes feature the artwork on a sleeve that goes over red boxes.  But the best part?  The blue and white stars on the inside of the red boxes.  LOVE!  The collection is selling out fast so be sure to visit your closest MAC counter.  All of the counters have the entire collection.  The only thing that you can find only at free-standing MAC stores is the gold belt bag with brushes so if you’re on the hunt for that you’ll have to go to a MAC store.

MAC’s latest collaboration will be with my favorite super hero, Wonder Woman!  I’ve loved Wonder Woman since I was a little kid – the time when I actually thought I WAS Wonder Woman.  I think I’ll definitely have to get the red lipstick – too legit!  You can read about the details of the collection on MISS.

Wonder Woman From The Goods!

If you’ve followed my blog for a while, you probably know that my favorite all-time super heroine is Wonder Woman.  Yes, I had the Underoos, and Wonder Woman was one of the women that I featured during Women’s History Month. Last week, I even wrote about the animated movie set to release in February 2009 on M.I.S.S.

My very good friend M.I.S.S. Liz “Busy Lady” Baca took note and surprised me with this note card set featuring the different versions of Wonder Woman through the years.  Yay!  Thank you Liz!
